Obituary of Daniel K. Cunningham

Daniel Keith “DC” Cunningham left his mortal body on September 1, 2023. He joins the rest of his family: mother, Stella, father Albert and brothers Michael (Mike) and Shawn in eternal rest. He leaves behind his sister-in-law, Bernie, nephews Jason (Kayla) and Bryan, great-nephew Nash, step-niece Grace & her family, Dustin, Brittany and Alex as well as his best friend, Patrick McDonald, to share his memories and grieve his passing. Dan was a lifelong Bridgeville resident who made his living as a Master Plumber, a trade on which he prided himself. He often used his plumbing skills to help out family and friends. DC’s love for life was matched only by his love for the people in his life and...the Fighting Irish. As a younger man, he belonged to many softball & billiard leagues. In the summer, he could often be found at Keystone Speedway enjoying the races or spending days fishing and soaking up the rays on his boat. Colder months often found him at camp with friends, either bow or rifle hunting. He didn’t hunt as much in recent years but still loved his camp time with his friends. Along the way, he found golf which remained his lifelong passion. He loved spending days on the golf course with Jason or Patrick and often concluded those outings with “cocktails” at his favorite stomping grounds. He loved music and dancing and never had a problem finding a dance partner. He had a way of making friends and making everyone feel special. Although never married, DC had several long term relationships that turned into life-long friendships because once Danny cared about you, he cared about you until his final breath. He could be stubborn and argumentative, but he always valued people and their place in his life. He had a big personality and an infectious laugh. His passing leaves a hole for his loved ones, but he left us with many cherished memories. Thank you for your friendship, DC. Rest well. Services will be 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday, Sept 12th at Warchol Funeral Home. We will toast to Danny’s life at the Bridgeville Italian Club during the interim.
