Age 88, of South Fayette, on June 30, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Frances “Sis” (Gardner) Luck; loving father of Jeffrey (Leann) Luck, Thomas (Monique) Luck, Angela (Matthew) Vogel and the late Barbara Hastings (Eugene who survives, and his wife Carolyn); cherished grandfather of Gina (Neil) Hess, T.J. (Melissa) Luck, Samantha (Paul) Dewey and Kaycilyn Luck and great grandfather of Maximus Hess and Makenzie Hess; brother-in-law of Elmer (the late Jeri) Gardner and the late Joann “BeBe” (the late Vic) Iagnemma; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and his best “Bro” Reed Vira. John was a proud University of Georgia Bulldog Football Letterman. He was an Industrial Arts Teacher for the Pittsburgh Public Schools. He coached many sports at Oliver High School, including Football, Volleyball, and Softball. As a coach and mentor, he impacted the lives of many young people, who still remember him today. Family and friends received on Thursday from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333).
