Obituary of Joseph Samuel Maier

Age 86, of Bridgeville, died peacefully at home on June 27, 2023. Beloved husband of Marlene (Deep) Maier, loving father of Tracey (Shawn) Hertneky, Sherry (Mike) Podrasky and Kristen (Bryan) Houy, devoted grandfather of Hunter Houy, Michael Podrasky, Logan Podrasky, Marlene Houy, Rylan Podrasky and Braylen Podrasky, brother of Rosie (late John) Koenig and the late Mildred (late Tony) Crillo, Val Maier and his wife Sally who survives, and Lilian (late Babe) Etherington. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe retired from Eat’n Park Distribution Center, after 40 years. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and card player. He enjoyed a good meal and a drink with his family. He was known for his quick wit, and funny anecdotes. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
