Obituary of Charles McLaughlin

Charles “Chuck” McLaughlin, age 73, of Bridgeville passed away on June 27th, 2023; leaving behind immediate family members, brothers Thomas (Linda) and Dennis (late Anne), sisters Mary Lee (Michael) Ihrig and Cynthia (Christopher) Pionke. Beloved uncle of Lauren (Miles) Kennedy, Melissa (Timothy) Cippel, Michael (Brittany) Ihrig, Brian (Joy) Heald, and Ashlie Heald. Great uncle of Madeline and Katelyn Heald, Reid and Blake Kennedy, and Ethan, Grayson, and Cayden Cippel. Chuck’s last job was the Director of Community Corrections at the Allegheny County Jail assisting inmates in their life’s journey. Chuck was an avid sports fan - the Steelers, the Pirates, and the Penguins – were the professional sports teams he followed. He loved college football and basketball and professional golf as well. He was always watching or listening to a sporting event. Chuck played golf, loved to read, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He loved talking with people as he could strike up a conversation and become best friends in a couple minutes. Friends received Thursday, July 6, from 3-7 PM, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 7, at 10 AM at Holy Child Church of Corpus Christi Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
