Obituary of Mary S. Shaw

Shaw Mary Sylvia (Ford) Age 89, of Bridgeville, passed away on June 6, 2023. Mim was the cherished wife of Robert F. Shaw for 69 years and the wonderful mother to Dr. Linda (J. Patrick) Conlon, Robert J. (Linda) Shaw and Michael E. Shaw. Her seven grandchildren, Erin Conlon, Shannon (Ryan) Carrozzi, Dr. Colleen Conlon, Adrienne (Scott) Gallagher, Warren Shaw, Daniel Shaw and Christen (Matt) Mercer were the absolute loves of her life along with her five great-grandchildren Wyatt and Reed Carrozzi, Declan Gallagher and Alessa and Sylas Mercer. Annual trips to Kennywood, the backyard pool parties, and magical Christmas mornings were her most memorable treats. She loved her home, her beautiful flower gardens and the hummingbirds that visit them frequently. A half-century of caring and dependable neighbors (Ray and Joann) were her second family. She was predeceased by four siblings and survived by four others, along with many nieces and nephews. Mary worked for the Chartiers Valley School District cafeterias where she proudly prepared and served breakfast and lunch to hundreds of children for 31 years, before retiring to travel and dote on her grandchildren. Friends welcomed on Thursday, June 15 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm, at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville. PA (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated on Friday, June 16 at 10:00 am, at Holy Child Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 212 Station St. Bridgeville (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org
