Obituary of Marvin Louis Haddox

Marvin Louis Haddox, Age 93, of Sewickley, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 29, 2023. Marvin was kind, peaceful, loving, godly and gentle and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Marvin was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 29, 1930 to George Monroe Haddox and Ellen Catherine (Koepke). He graduated from Ferguson High School, Class of 1948 and the University of Missouri, Class of 1956. Marvin proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Marvin worked his entire career at Rockwell International and served on the Upper St. Clair Planning Commission for decades. He was the beloved husband of Joan Lorraine (Puhan) Haddox, loving father of John Andrew (Gretchen) Haddox, Kimberly Louise (Harry “Bud”) Behling, Katharine Lorraine (Greg) Clark and the late George Gregory Haddox, devoted grandfather of Kirsten, Zachary and Jonathan Haddox, Dylan Clark, Ashley Behling and Brycen Clark, brother of Jim (Glenda) Haddox and the late Floyd (Doreen) Haddox, Darlene (Tom) Franke and Willis (Juanita) Haddox. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a service will be held Wednesday, June 14, at 10 am. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Michigan Therapy Dogs, Inc., www.wmtd.org.
