Obituary of Terrence F. McManus

Age 82 of Cecil, on March25, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (Stiehl) McManus for 59 years; son of the late Frank McManus and Dorothy Seman, and step-son of John “Jock” Seman, who raised him as his own; loving father of Joan (Richard) Long, Teresa (Dwayne) Adams, and the late Patrick McManus; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Elise) Renk, Sean O’Connor, Ian (Brianna) O’Connor, Michael Long, and Katie Long, and great grandfather of Braxton, Ellie, Luke, and Arthur; brother of John Seman and Judy (Al) Geidel. Terrence was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was a family man, and his pride and joy were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. From taking his own children swimming with their friends to taking his grandchildren to the movies, he was always involved and always present. Terrence worked for McGraw Edison and Cooper Industries. He was an avid sports fan and fisherman, and in retirement he enjoyed workouts at the wellness center and trips to the casino. Terrence passed on his wit and sarcasm to his children and grandchildren, and they will always treasure those qualities. Family and friends received Thursday from 3-7 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at Holy Rosary Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish.
