Obituary of Richard A. Russo

Richard A. Russo, our beloved Nono, died peacefully on March 16, 2023 at age 75. He was born on July 3, 1947 in Bridgeville to the late Louis Russo Sr. and Anna (Prezioso) Russo. Richard graduated from Chartiers Valley High School in 1966. Following his service in the U.S. Army, he had a long career as a sales professional and restauranteur. Richard enjoyed family gatherings, golf, DIY projects, travel, sporting events and volunteering at a soup kitchen. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Donamarie (Coffey) Russo; brother Louis (Pam) Russo Jr.; sisters Joann Villani and Lois Ann Russo; sisters-in-law Carol Russo and Bethanne Coffey; children Dean Russo, Nicole Russo, Douglas (Amy) Bennett, Genamarie (Mike) Catino; grandchildren Paige Bennett, Anthony Galioto, Camille Bennett, Niko Galioto, Roman Galioto, Abigail Bennett, Giovanna Catino, Ava Catino and Benjamin Catino; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his brother Sebastian “Sonny” Russo; brother-in-law Elmer Villani; and mother and father-in-law Dolores and William Coffey. A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family on Friday, May 19th, from 11am-1pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Augustine Hunger Center at 1400 Howard Avenue Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
