Obituary of Mary Kay (Kreminsky) Engelhardt

Engelhardt Mary Kay “Kashia” (Kreminsky) Age 85, of Canonsburg, surrounded by her loving family, on March 1, 2023. A daughter of the late Stanley and Victoria Kreminsky. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, August Engelhardt. Also surviving are two children, Eric (Jody) Engelhardt of Magnolia, TX and Allison (Bob) Popeo of Westwood, MA, five cherished grandchildren: Halie, Eli and Emmi Engelhardt, Robert and Charlotte Popeo, and a brother, Stanley (Linda) Kreminsky. Mary Kay graduated from Chartiers Houston High School and attended Robert Morris College. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant at Koppers, Inc. Later, she spent time teaching at Washington County Daycare. Throughout her life she found joy through close interactions with, and was intensely interested in, those around her. Mary Kay loved to chat with friends and discuss their families and their daily affairs. What might appear mere gossip to the casual observer, was genuine interest, concern, empathy and enthusiasm. Mary Kay celebrated her friends' victories and mourned their losses with equal intensity. She relished time with friends, family, and her cherished grandchildren. Mary Kay was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg. She was a member of St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish. She was an avid football enthusiast and a rabid Steelers fan. Friends received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10 am, at St. Patrick Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, Canonsburg. Interment to follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation in memory of Mary Kay to your favorite charity.
