Obituary of Frank J. Krek

Age 92, of Bridgeville, on February 15, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Mary Lou (Szuminsky) Krek, loving father of Carol (Steve Yereb) Tovcimak and Kim (Peter) Massella, devoted grandfather of Danni (Robert) Birckhead, Casey (Omar) Lockerbie, Sarah Massella, Melinda Massella and P.J. Massella, brother of Mary Ann Gordon and the late Joseph Krek, Felix Krek, Sylvia Medvid, Frances Marcinkewicz, Ernest Krek, Sr., and John Krek, also survived by many nieces and nephews. A veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Krek worked as an assistant manager at Thorofare for almost 40 years. After retirement, he continued to work for 10 more years, as a custodian for Chartiers Valley School District. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Friends received Sunday, 2 – 6 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10 AM, at St. Barbara Church of Corpus Christi Parish, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
