Obituary of John "Jack" Himmer

John Himmer of Arden Mills Washington, PA passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday February 11th. After graduation he attended Duff Business School and Ford Company Merchandising School in Dearborn, Michigan. John worked in the trucking business for over 45 years and ended up owning John Himmer Transfer in Neville Island. He was a 50-year member of North Hills Masonic Lodge and past member of Pa Motor Truck Association and Traffic & Transportation Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent many weekends at the “Mountain Box” in Bedford County. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and Forest Grove Sportsman Club. He helped with the renovation of the Patterson House to be their first church home and school. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, late sister Mary Jane, daughter Sharon (Rich), son Greg, and grandchildren John, Zachary, Kelly (Dean) and Adam (Leah). He also has great-grandchildren Josh, Kaitlyn, Mason and Cooper. Even though a failing heart took him away, his loving heart left beautiful, happy memories behind.
