Obituary of Joan Rosalie (D'Andrea) Burgunder

Age 87, of Rosslyn Farms, on February 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William Burgunder; loving companion of the late John Conley; devoted mother of Greg (Karen) Burgunder, Karen (Toot) Mulholland, Lisa (Kevin) Angle, Joe (Lee Ann) Burgunder, and the late Albert (Nancy) Burgunder; cherished grandmother of Halle Mitnick, Beau (Cathy) Burgunder, Chelsea (Eric) Rheam, Jessie (Joe) Coleman, Nicholas (Erica) Brozack, Kristen (Zack) Robertson, and Melanie (Nick) Lunig; sister of Joseph (the late Christine) D’Andrea; great grandmother of 10. Joan was a 1953 graduate of Bridgeville High School, where she was head majorette. She was a longtime member of Chartiers Country Club and a member of the Women’s Golf Association of Western PA. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Gin. Joan was the matriarch of her family and above all else she loved the quality time they spent together; sometimes having a drink, always making memories. Family and friends received on Sunday from 4-6 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1 PM at Holy Child Church of Corpus Christi Parish. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
