Obituary of Lois Dittmer

Dittmer, Lois (Funaiock) Age 91 of Washington, formerly North Strabane Twp., Lois passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry W. Dittmer, Jr. for 66 years and was the daughter of the late Catherine Marie (Babe) Schneider and Frederick H. Funaiock. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Sarah (Norma) Funaiock and James K. Lynch. She was the loving aunt of Keith (Betty) Lynch, Kelly (John) Henrichs, Kathleen (Wayne) Conn and Karen (Scott) Snyder; great aunt of 8 and great-great aunt of 2. Lois was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bridgeville. She retired from Colt Industries/Crucible Steel after 41 years. Lois loved to travel and, after retirement, she volunteered with the local AARP chapter as their travel coordinator and newsletter publisher for several years. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 19 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM.
