Obituary of Susan Marie Zoog

Zoog Susan M. (Ringel) Age 69, of North Strabane Twp., formerly of Peters Twp., on July 29, 2012. She was born on June 5, 1943, in Butler. A daughter of Frank and Violet Gaspich Ringel. On July 19, 1969, she married Roy J. Zoog, who survives. A 1961 graduate of Bethel Park H.S. and a 1965 graduate of Mount Union College, where she earned a B.A. in secondary education in English and also a major in Religion. Sue started her teaching career at Upper St. Clair Middle School and then became Coordinator of Christian Education at Center Presbyterian Church. She also served as Director of Visitation and Senior Citizens Ministries at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer for the Pastoral Care Dept. at Canonsburg Hospital. She enjoyed reading, writing children"s literature, gardening and traveling. Sue says her greatest achievement has been SERVING THE LORD. Surviving along with her husband are 2 children; Jon (Emily) Zoog of Wylie, TX and Melanie (George) Russi of McDonald, 2 grandchildren; Cory and Emma Russi, a sister; Janet (Ed) Slusser of Sherrodsville, OH and a brother; Frank (Patti) Ringel of Florence, MT, also many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends in Christ. As per her wishes there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
