Obituary of Richard V. Pesavento

Age 93, of South Fayette, on June 6, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Margaret A. (Paroline) Pesavento; loving father of Marijo (Ben) Vaughn of VA and Richard (Jean) Pesavento, Jr. of McDonald; cherished Pap of Brian Pesavento of Beaver, Todd Pesavento of Altoona, and Justin and Marisa Vaughn of VA; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings John (Gladys) Pesavento, Eleanor (John) Gill and Dolores (Carl) Mikus. For years, he and his brother John made wine, which was enjoyed at many family dinners. An avid outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, grandsons and good friends. Richard served in the Korean War; was a member of the Fairview Fire Department for over 30 years; and was an active member of the Chartiers Beagle Club for many years. He worked as a plumber at Collavo Plumbing and later in the maintenance department at Ionics in Bridgeville. Family and friends received on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12:15 PM. Interment and military honors to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Fire Department or Commonwealth Hospice, Pittsburgh, PA.
