We were so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. He and Joyce were our "across the street" neighbors for many years, and we have missed his gracious smile since we moved to Delaware five years ago; he was such a kind man. We send our condolences to all of his family, who he loved so dearly. Nancy and David Haines

Andy was a lucky man. Lucky to have survived combat in WW2. Lucky to have married Joyce , a great wife and mom. Lucky to have four children who loved him dearly. Lucky for eight grandchildren and great grandchildren who also loved him dearly. Lucky for a long life (97). Lucky yes indeed but we all were the real lucky ones to have had him for so many years. Will miss you forever Andy…

Our thoughts and prayers are with Andy’s family. We remember him as someone who was an integral part of the Embassy community with his interest in others, email updates for all, and knowledge of current events, Andy was often in the center of conversation. He was also a frequent fixture at the side door of the Embassy, with a smile and a few kind words, enjoying the summer sunshine. He will be missed by all.
