Obituary of John O. Platzer

Platzer John O. Age 79, of Bridgeville, on April 18, 2022. Beloved husband of Carol (Slack) Platzer, loving father of John (Patti) Platzer, Michael Platzer, Michelle “Shelly” (Matt) Muckleroy and Daniel Platzer, grandfather of Madalyn “Maddy”, Macy and Maria Muckleroy, brother of Carol (Bill) Dobson, also many loving brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his faithful companion Ringo. John was a retired property claim manager for Allstate Insurance Co., for over 30 years. He loved getting his family together and cooking for them on the grill. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and taking care of his family. He was a lifetime season ticket-holder for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Friends received Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 10 am, at Our Lady of Grace Church of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Scott Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Commonwealth Hospice.
