Obituary of Dale A. Armitage

Armitage Dale A. Age 71, of Cecil Twp., went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2022. He was born on August 19, 1950, in Corry, PA. A son of the late Rev. Cassius and Margaret McCray Armitage. On November 3, 1973, he married Connie J. Veydt, who survives. Loving father of Jill (Jason) Kowalski and the late David Armitage, father-in-law of Lauren Armitage-Bosetti (Joe Bosetti), grandfather of Emerson Kowalski, Kingston David Armitage, Elin Kowalski and Brooklyn Bosetti, brother of Joyce (Phil) Renicks, Beve (late Tom) Morton, Debby (Paul Oberst) Solari and the late Ron Armitage, brother-in-law of Neil (Sharrol) Veydt, Linda (Geary) Leasure and Mark (Pam) Veydt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A devoted and longtime member of The Bible Chapel, McMurray. Dale was a retired real estate agent with Howard Hanna, McMurray. He served as president and coach of the Cecil Baseball Association. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, but above all he loved being with and coaching his grandchildren. He also volunteered his time on Friday night’s working “the sticks” for the Big Mac games. Friends received Wednesday, April 20, from 6-8 pm and Thursday, April 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A funeral service will be held Friday, April 22, 11 am, at The Bible Chapel, McMurray (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, South Fayette Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington City Mission or The Bible Chapel.
