Obituary of Ruth Alma (Slacker) Roam

Age 98, died peacefully in her Mt. Lebanon apartment on March 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Roam; children Ruth Ann (Mike) Drain and Donald Daily; siblings Bertha (Clifford) Stewart, Charles (Jennie) Slacker and Donald Slacker. She locally leaves a niece Patricia (William) Sienerth and other relatives from her family and her husband’s. She has a legacy of being “Aunt” Ruth to many loved ones and had a legion of friends near and far who loved and supported her. She lived many years in the Oakdale area and resided in Deltona, FL during her married years with Ralph, returning to the Pittsburgh area until her death. She was a longtime employee of Alcoa and a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Family and friends received on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a prayer service will immediately follow at 7 PM.
