Written by her grandson Louie Berceli III.
One of my earliest memories is of Teresa. I was very young, five or six, playing at her feet. At that age I would have hardly had the words to describe the moment, but I distinctly remember a great sense of warmth. There was the afternoon sun, casting golden rays across our dining room carpet, but that wasn’t it. It was a warmth specific to her.
For most of my childhood, my grandmother felt like the sun itself. She’s begin every visit with a firm, comforting hug, and it wouldn’t be long before the house began to arrange itself around her. Teresa was the warm, calming center of the universe whenever we saw her, and we all quickly fell into orbit around her.
There is a sort of quiet tranquility in all my memories of her. There she is standing beside me at the 4th of July parade back home, patting me on the back and giving me a small smile as she passes me a piece of candy before my parents notice. There she is, giving me a conspiratorial wink as she adds what looks suspiciously like store-bought pasta sauce to a steaming pot of noodles.
I saw her less and less as I grew older and life inevitably pulled me away. On the occasions I did, I’m happy to say her warmth was never diminished. Despite the inexorable advances of age and health, Teresa was, to the very last moment I saw her, the same warm afternoon sun I remembered. I’m happy to say I was able to give her the news that she was a great grandmother before she passed. In every moment of comfort, of nurture, of warmth, of love, she will be there. When my child one day finds themselves playing in the warm golden embrace of the afternoon sun, in that moment they will know her and like all of us be better for it.

She is a lovely soul and always a pleasure to be with.
I AM still ME, by Bill Mitchell
Corpus Christi Parish, Bridgeville, PA
May 2021
I have passed into eternity,
the reality we shared is no longer mine.
But our souls were created immortal,
and where I go there is no time.
Though I’ve gone away you did not lose me,
so please don’t grieve to much for me.
In my heart I am still with you,
And please believe that I AM still ME.
When it is you time to come and join me,
Be assured I will greet you there.
We’ll meet again someday in heaven,
And together eternity we will share.
We will praise the Lord for our Salvation,
We will worship Him for He is love.
God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Forever perfect in heaven above.

Mr Berceli, Terri, Louis and family, I have so many wonderful memories of your mom over the years from when I was in high school having sleepovers at your house with Terrri her making me breakfast and baking those delicious cookies. I loved our visits when she came to Florida During the Christmas season. She would always give me the homemade nut roll from the local church, and give me her amazing home made cookies! Sweet, gentle, and kind is how I will always remember her. Sending much love and prayers to you and your family love Barbara, Dwight, Courtney, Ashley, Addie& Avan ♥️♥️

She loved me like only a grandmother can, and I will miss her so much. I’m very grateful to have had her in my life for so long.
