Obituary of Joseph J. Betten

Age 74, of Ingram, on February 17, 2022. Son of the late Stanley and Stella (Vaslik) Betten; beloved husband of Binnie Betten, loving father of Sandy (Richard) Sherman, Joseph (Courtney) Betten, Jr., and Scott Betten, devoted grandfather of Alisha Lawhead, Ricky Sherman, Isabella and Ben Betten, Sophia and Jackson Marshall, great-grandfather of Kynslee Senopole and Oaklee “Butterbean” Miles, brother of Carl (Debbie) Betten and Daniel (Pamela) Betten, also many nieces and nephews. Joe was a retired employee of G.E., Canonsburg and a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling in the West Penn Bowling League. He enjoyed going out to dinner with his friends and loved all types of food. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, who liked to work on and rebuild them. Above all, he loved his family and getting together for family gatherings. Friends received Monday, 4-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a service will be held Tuesday, at 11 am.
