Obituary of Dale F. DeBlander

Dale Francis DeBlander, age 86, of South Fayette passed away on December 13th 2021. He was the son of Florent and Alice DeBlander, beloved husband of Elaine Sue DeBlander, loving father of Valerie(Jeff) DeMarco, Leslie DeBlander and Darin(Tess) DeBlander. Grandfather of Joseph(Missy) and Laura DeMarco, and Ashly and Anthony DeBlander. Brother of Wayne DeBlander. Dale was a graduate of Marietta College, where he was the President of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and the Newman Club. He was a 65 year member of the American Chemical Society. Known internationally for his expertise in radiation cured coatings, he was the editor in chief of Radiation Curing Magazine and chaired the committee for publishing an OSHA booklet on the safe handling of radiation coatings. Prior to his retirement he owned DeBlander Associates, brokering raw chemicals. He was a volunteer at the Bridgeville Historical Society and enjoyed his monthly meetings with the local Octogenarian Group. Friends received Thursday, 1-5 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 10:30 am, at St. Louise de Marillac Church of St. Catherine Laboure’ Parish. Memorials may be made to the Bridgeville Area Historical Society.
