I'm at a loss for words. What can I say about Jon? I will miss his voice when he answered the phone and yelled "Patti, It's Kathy" always followed by a query..."Are you okay" or "Is every alright". That was the essence of Jon, making sure you were okay. But I always interpreted that as "Is there anything I can do for you" I'm sure that was what he meant. That was Jon. Kind and dependable. His love and devotion to his family always left me in awe. I told him one time "I want you to to adopt me". You couldn't have asked for a better person to call husband and Dad. So terribly sorry for your loss. Happy journey Jon, Kathy Bielski

My sympathies to all family. Jon was not only an excellent Engineer but one of the most compassionate people I ever knew. When work was scarce in the 80’s He reached out and gave me a Job at Dravo which helped me and my family out immensely.We had some great conversations on Facebook also as we laughed and shared our conservative views. I’ll truely miss you my friend and may the Angels all be with you on your next journey. Carl Cuda

My sincere condolences to the Hiles family. I had the privilege of working with Jon for the last four years. He was great at taking time to help me learn the job with a great sense of humor. Jon was very proud of his vast work experience, but even more proud when talking about his family.

I’ll miss our back n forth comments on f/b. You were such a kind man to give me compassion on the day of my best friends funeral and you and beautiful Patty treated me to dinner. I’ll miss you now. God Bless your soul Jon.
