Carol Villani

Obituary of Carol Villani

78 years old, of Lawrence PA, formerly of South Fayette, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 4. 25 years ago, Carol was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given 6 months to live. In the years since, she has been nothing short of a miracle. No doctor could explain it, but driven by her unshakeable faith, she continued to quietly fight through every challenge with courage, dignity and grace. Carol was preceded in death by her cherished and devoted husband Theodore R (Buck) Villani and her parents John and Pauline Bioni. She is survived by her loving stepdaughter Amy (David) Egan, her granddaughters Alexandra and Elizabeth Egan, her brothers Tom (Sharon) Bioni and Dave (Jan) Bioni, her sister-in law Jerilyn Vitelli, their families, and many wonderful friends and neighbors who have all helped support Carol in so many ways. Carole graduated from South Fayette High School in 1961 and spent most of her career as an orthodontal technician. But her main joy in life was taking care of her family. She will be missed for many things: her kind spirit, the way she took care of all the little things to make her family happy and comfortable, her community volunteer efforts, her wonderful cooking, her fastidious approach to the details of everyday life, but perhaps more than anything we will miss her joyful and infectious laugh. According to Carol’s wishes there is no viewing or memorial service, and burial at Melrose Cemetery will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Warchol Funeral Home Inc. The family suggests contributions in her honor to her favorite charity, Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, at www.stjude.org.
