Obituary of Dean W. Rogers, Sr.

Age 90, of Scott Twp., on October 29, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Theresa (Qualtiere) Rogers; loving father of Mary Jo Rogers, the late William (Linda) Rogers, Dean (Kirsten) Rogers, Jr., Michael Rogers, Mark (Lil) Rogers and Cynthia (Stephen Ellis) Rogers; brother of Edwin (Eleanor) Rogers and Corolla (Paul) Sawka; cherished grandfather of Melissa Constant, William Constant III, Malayna (Brin) Stefaniszyn, Victor Rogers, Marita (Fiancé Jake Marsh) Ellis, Travis Rogers, Dylan Rogers, Flora Ellis and Bow Clement, great grandfather of Loden and Laeli Stefaniszyn. A Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Navy. Dean was a long time Rotarian and an Usher at Our Lady of Grace Church. He enjoyed bowling, was a BSA Troop Leader for Troop #834, and was a member of Sygan SNPJ, #6. Family and friends received on Monday from 4-7 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment and Military Honors at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association or DAV.
