Obituary of John P. Karney

Karney John P., Sr. Age 88, of South Fayette Twp., on October 24, 2021. Beloved husband for over 64 years of Marlene (Bourg) Karney, loving father of John Karney, Dave Karney and Mark (Mary Anne) Karney, grandfather of Peter (Brandy) Karney and Oliwia Karney, great-grandfather of Brody Karney. Deceased is his twin sister, Jenny Gelston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Karney was part owner of Traffic Systems and Services, Robinson Twp. He was a member of the Bridgeville American Legion, Post #54, the South Fayette Senior Citizens and was very active and coached for the Bridgeville Athletic Association for many years. Friends received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10 am, at Holy Child Church of Corpus Christi Parish.
