Obituary of Maynard L. Jones

JONES MAYNARD L. Age 95, of South Fayette, on September 20, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Inez (Speranza) Jones; loving father of Kevin L. (Marissa) Jones and Deanna J. (James) Hess; cherished grandfather of Ericka Scott, Alexis Priest, Jess Chalker, Lauren Hess and Shawna Jakush, and great grandfather of 4. Brother of Patricia and the late Newt, Goldie, Alvetta, Stella, Peggy, Dorothy and Betty. A Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy, and a founding and longtime member of Fairview V.F.D. Maynard enjoyed bowling, golfing, and square dancing. He danced and taught at Peanuts Square Dancing, for many years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and longtime season ticket holder. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved camping with his family. Family and friends received on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 1 PM at St. Barbara Church of Corpus Christi Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fairview V.F.D.
