Obituary of Dominick Battistone Jr.

At the age of 90, Dominick Battistone Jr of Mt. Lebanon passed away peacefully at home on July 26th. Dominick was preceded in death by his son Dominick Jeffery, his sister Anne and his parents Domenico and Mary Battistone. In addition to his loving wife of 68 years, Rochelle, he is survived by his two children, Carla Muggio of Longboat Key, FL and Mt. Lebanon and Christopher Battistone (Kelli), of Evans City PA and two grandchildren, Dominick and Raymond Battistone. He is also survived by his brothers Carl (Ruth) of Bethel Park, Joseph (Eileen) of Canonsburg and Frank (Donna) of Little Rock, AR as well as his sister Mary Louise Bourg (Norman, deceased) of Muse. He was born in Muse PA in October 1930 and graduated from Cecil High School. He worked for the O. Hommel Company for 43 years where he rose to the position of Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. Dominick was a lifelong musician with the trombone being his favorite instrument. He played in the U.S. Army Band during the Korean War and The Ohio Valley Community Band until a few years ago. He also enjoyed golf, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Services and internment are private.
