Obituary of Margaret Beckner

Margaret V. Beckner, 76, of Washington, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, June 5, 2021, after a lengthy illness. Margaret loved attending flea markets and estate sales when she wasn’t caring for the needs of others. She was born June 15, 1944, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, a daughter of the late Albert E. and Mary Beighle. Also deceased are a daughter, Judy, and five brothers, George, Dave, Eric, Eddie, and John Beighle, of Washington, PA. On February 5, 1962, she married William R. Beckner, who survives. Left behind to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband, are her beloved children, Michael Beckner, Jerry Beckner, and Victoria (Kelly) Ratzlaff, all of Washington; seven grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, Jordan, Nichole, Amanda, Jacqueline, and William; one brother, Albert “Jim” Beighle of Cecil, PA; one sister, Janette (Dan) Guza of Columbus, OH; eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. No funeral services will be held at this time. The family will celebrate her life at a memorial service to be held at a later date.
