Obituary of Frank Donald (Don) Daugherty

Age 88, of Canonsburg, peacefully on April 24, 2021. Born July 15, 1932, in USC, PA. Son of the late Frank Henry and Harriet (Smith) Daugherty. He entered into the Army in January of 1953 and moved to the Air Force in March of 1955. He was honorably discharged in 1960. For his service in the Korean War, he was awarded the Army Occupational Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. In 1961, he became a policeman for USC. He retired as a Lieutenant in 1991. He was a Volunteer Firefighter in USC. He also had a building cleaning service for 60 years. Don loved to cook and he loved to eat. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (Haley) Daugherty and the late Patricia (George) Daugherty; loving father of Shawn (Julie) and Kevin (Sharon) and the late Colleen; stepfather of Mark, Michael, Lisa (Tom), Gina (Jeff), Chris (Pam) and Stephanie (Joseph). Cherished grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 11. Family and friends received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc. 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM.
