Obituary of Leo Henry Maruzewski

Maruzewski Leo Henry Age 89, of Bridgeville, peacefully on April 13, 2021. Loving brother of Margaret Thomas and brother-in-law of Larry Dworek. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Edward and Walter Maruzewski and sisters, Ann Hart, Alice Fleck, Agnes Plachecki and Helen Dworek. Devoted uncle of Deborah Thomas, Dane Thomas and many loving nieces and nephews. A decorated veteran of the Korean War, serving as a medic in the U.S. Army. Leo enjoyed Sunday afternoons, cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers as a season ticket holder for over 60 years. His family would like to thank Sam and little Sam for their compassion and loving care for Leo. Friends received Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412- 221-3333). Full military honors will be held at 11 am, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
