Obituary of Barbara Keleman

Barbara Keleman of Pittsburgh, Pa, age 86 passed away peacefully in her home on 3/19/2021. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William P. and Mollie Lubin, sister of the late Eugene Lubin. Preceded in death by Herbert (Hubby), her husband of 63 years. Survived by her three children Ronnie Keleman (Pittsburgh, PA) Rick Keleman (Middletown, OH) and Lori (David) Calgaro (Oakdale, PA). After starting her family, Barbara was a homemaker. Sweetest lady ever. Always very positive, uplifting, encouraging and supportive to her children and many others. Always the “cheerleader,” providing support and confidence that you can achieve anything! One of the friendliest people you could ever meet. She always wished everyone well. Often in later years advising nice people to make plans and go do them. Also wishing everyone to be hearty and mighty in this world. She projected an unspoken kindness that invited strangers to tell her their whole life story. It was as if they knew she would never pass judgement. Such a kind, gentle and beautiful soul. “Bob”, as she was called by her friends and family, loved to bake, and garden. She could coax beautiful, heathy plants from seed without effort. She has provided baking advice and family recipes to the next generation so traditions can continue forward. She has a special place in her heart for all animals, but especially dogs. Dogs have always been a part of her life, whether they belonged to her, family members or total strangers. She never met a dog she didn’t love. Friends received on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). Services are private.
