Irene Eleanor (Wagner) Bourg Of South Fayette Twp., on November 22, 2020, Irene passed away peacefully to be with the Lord at the young age of 93. She was a beloved wife to the late Henry Bourg, Jr. for 63 years, until his death. Loving mother to Henry A. (Peggy) Bourg, Ronald L. Bourg, Donna (Robin) Parrilla and Denise (Jim) Senich, grandmother of Matthew, Michael, Jason, Kristel, Louie, Robbie, Zack, Chris and Kyle, great-grandmother of Eva, Maddie and Wyatt. Devoted sister to the late Lillian DallaPiazza, Jean Endler and Alice Shepherd, also leaving behind sister-in-laws and brother in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. Irene loved her family very much and was an anchor that held the family together. Born in Bridgeville to the late Andrew Wagner and Julia (Nagy), she was the second of 4 girls. Initially, when Henry and Irene were married they lived in Bridgeville, then moved to South Fayette where they raised their family. In their later years, they moved to Washington Gardens in Carnegie. Irene then moved to independent living at Country Meadows. Irene was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. She graduated from Bridgeville High School and for many years, she and her friends organized the class reunions. Irene was retired from JC Penneys, where she was a Sales Audit Clerk for 25 years, and made many lifelong friends that she held dear. Irene was very talented artist. She always lended her drawing talent, whether it was for the newsletter at work or the programs for class reunions. Once she retired, she taught herself to oil paint. Her talent, as her paintings, is the legacy that she has left behind touching many people. She enjoyed a number of other hobbies as well. She loved playing cards with many friends and family. She was always working on puzzles or crossword puzzles to keep her busy. She also was always good for a lively conversation on current events such as politics or sports, especially the Steelers. When Irene moved to Country Meadows, she made many friends and was involved in a number of activities, such as making sleeping mats for the homeless. She will be missed by many. Based on Irene’s wishes, the family will be have a memorial service for her at Zion Lutheran Church in the spring.
