I met Ray and Mim a few times over the past several years, as a visiting cousin (of Tommy's) from the Philly area. They were always such an obviously loving, caring couple towards each other, and had the kind of relationship that I hope to have when I reach that stage of life. Although Mim's capacities decreased over recent years, she was still sweet, pleasant , laughing and dancing at Chuck & Lindsey's wedding, the last time I saw her.
Mim's life was blessed with having a wonderful and loving daughter, Trudy. The way in which Trudy & Tommy arranged their own lives around caring for Mim, remaining in her own home, was incredible. They dealt with some difficult, trying and emotional moments during that time.
We're all going to eventually depart, to whatever existence you believe in, and we will be fortunate if we have the same loving and caring family as Mim had, as we make that journey.

“You never get over the loss of a loved one, you just learn to deal with it. To put in it’s proper place. To be grateful for the time you shared, but not be crippled by the loss “ ( from a thriller novel I’m currently reading).
“May the memory of her be a blessing” ( A Jewish sympathy sentiment) {actually, the sentiment says, “May her MEMORY be a blessing; but I thought the forementioned rewording more appropriate, since this is a Public Forum}

Aunt Mim was one of the nicest people I ever knew. It was a real pleasure growing up in her neighborhood. Everyone of us kids loved her and Uncle Ray. I M happy to know she is now at peace in heaven with my mom and sister who were all very dear friends. Love you and remember you always Aunt Mim
