Obituary of Joseph P. Davoren

Davoren Joseph P. Age 88, of Scott Twp., on July 13, 2020. Beloved husband of Helen Davoren, loving father of Patti (Tom Varley) Darnley and the late Tim Darnley, Maureen (Scott Hodgdon) Davoren, Aileen (Tom) Frost and Joe (Tina) Davoren, devoted Pop Pop of Michael (Samantha) Darnley, Brittany Darnley, Nicholas (fiancé Anakin) Frost, Courtney Frost, Anthony Frost, Michael Gardner, Gia Gardner, David (fiancé Melissa) Gardner and Grant Davoren, great-Pop Pop of Remington Darnley and Myah, brother of Marie (late Patrick) O’Brien and the late Tommy, Billy, and Morgan Davoren, also survived by 26 nieces and nephews. A veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and a retired Tax Director and Treasurer for Koppers Co. and Transtar. Joe served as head usher at Our Lady of Grace Church and was a longtime member of the Men’s Club. He was also a member of the Mt. Lebanon American Legion and was an avid Notre Dame football and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Due to the current situation the visitation will be private. Friends are invited to share in a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, 10 am, at Holy Child Church of Corpus Christi Parish, Bridgeville. Memorials may be made to American Parkinson’s Disease Assoc. or American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
