Obituary of Thomas T. Cross

Age 94, of Cuddy, on July 9, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Mildred B. (Colussy) Cross for 66 years; loving father of Deborah Monaco, Denise Abernathy and Dawn Cross; devoted grandfather of Nicholas (Stephanie) Monaco, Father Paul (Kristina) Abernathy, Tracy Abernathy (Josh Grimm), Nathan (Angela) DiLorenzo, Christopher Monaco and Kendall (Alex) Wagner; and great grandfather of Brooklyn, Everett, Emerson, Keegan, Harper, Thomas, Katherine and Dustin; brother of Dr. Samuel Cross and George Cross and the late Louis, Sophia and Michael Cross. Thomas was a proud WWII Veteran, a recipient of the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantry Badge. He served with the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge. He was very active in his church and in the community; he was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member and former Post Commander of the VFW, a volunteer fireman and a South Fayette Commissioner.
