I still do not know what to say... Mike and I coach'ed his daughter in some AAU basketball tournament's for a couple years. We had a lot of success, he was an outstanding assistant he was always there he was knowledgeable he would have in put into what our game plan would be.
That being said but I know Mike he was a good father, a good husband and a good man he could listen he can give you support. He was always there for the team and if need something he would figure it out.
I am glad to have spent some time in my life knowing Michael. Knowing people like him always improve one's quality of life.
Godspeed Michael!

I have the fondest memories with the VanBibber cousins! We saw each other in Rushville at family reunions but you would have thought we grew up down the street from each other with all the fun we had. Mike was such a leader, always watching over his younger cousins. What a beautiful life he lived and so many wonderful memories he left us with. He will be truly missed as his spirt lives on! My heartfelt condolences to you all. May you find peace within your hearts.

I went to high school with Mike, and we were part of a little homeroom group of buddies. Our conversations were always a fun way to start the day. Mike was a unique person in that he was not only an athlete; he was smart, humble, kind, unassuming, and friendly to all. He led a successful life, not only professionally, but in his love for his wife and children. I feel like I got to know each of you through Caring Bridge. It seems so unfair that Mike left us at such a young age, and I can't imagine what his family is going through. I'm thinking of you all and pray that you will find peace in the days to come.

We will always remember the times shared. Cooks forest, Outer Banks , weddings graduations etc. Mike was a fun nephew that was free and easy to laugh and took pranks very well. Like when we short sheeted him and Michelle .And he gave it back to us when they visited. Love you Michael and family. You will be always dear to us and we hold you close to our hearts. always.
Thank you for being family and a good father and spouse. May God invite you into His kingdom to share all the love you gave when you were here with us.

Michelle, Tyler, Helena,
I never met you, but I traveled with Mike to steel mill customers in Pittsburgh and Canada.
Being fellow Hokies, Mike and I immediately had a close connection.
I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. Mike was a great guy and loved his family so much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I have such fond memories of Mike and the VanBibber family from the years I served the Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church in the 80s and early 90s. When Mike was in the youth group it was obvious what a fine young man he was and clear that he would become an outstanding person in the years to come. The words of his obituary show that what I thought long ago came true and then some. My heart breaks for the VanBibber family. Grace to you in these days. God is close to the broken-hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
