Obituary of Joseph C. Grosso, Jr.
Beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and husband.
Passed into Jesus’ saving mercies with his family at his side, Friday May 29th, 2020 at the age of 84.
Recently declaring his hope and belief that he now belonged to Jesus, he rests in peace without fear. He spent time reciting the story of a man next to Jesus on the cross who asked Jesus to remember him in his kingdom receiving the promise “today you will be with me in paradise”, and reciting prayers with his daughter and grandson as his earthly vessel prepared for its passage into heaven. Throughout his life, he revered the cross of the Son of God, displaying it prominently along with pictures of Jesus heart over his bed and around his neck until his death
Always finding ways to make his family laugh at the world, and tirelessly working and sacrificing everything for his children and grandchildren 7 days/week, Joe was an accomplished chess player, bus driver, delivery driver, taxi driver, parking lot attendant, hunter, gardener, photo organizer, and Italian food, wine, and sports aficionado. He enjoyed his shopping trips, casino trips, Italian Club trips, building his solar and flower garden, playing chess and spending time with his grandchildren. Having instilled the same work ethic into his children, with immense pride and love for them, he is honored in the accomplished lives of daughter Lisa (Grosso) Malosh (Greg), Sons Thomas (Theresa), Joseph (Sherri), and Michael (Janet) as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren Domenic, Amanda, Marissa, Bradley, Alex, Joshua, Shannon, Heather, Luke, Samuel, Wyatt, McKenna, Ariel, Megan, Stuart, Nolan, Abby, and Andy. He is also survived by wife Joanne, and siblings Carmen, Jerry, and Geraldine Grosso.
