Fred was always so kind and always went out of his way to appreciate my music when I would sing at the church. He taught one of my Sunday school classes which was a Joy! I am just at a loss for words. One of a kind!!!!

Debbie and family, my thoughts and prayers, and love are with you all. I am so sorry for your loss. Fred, you were in great part, the heart of Bethany Presbyterian Church to me. You made me feel welcome and valuable at Bethany. You helped me when I was at my lowest. When I had to swallow my pride and seek help at the Bethany food bank, it was your kind and loving face that walked me through the registration and my first time through the line. You were truly an angel on earth, and the world is significantly less colorful with you gone. God rest you my friend. You were, and are, loved.
God Bless your whole family, love, Becky Scalise

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my very good lifetime friend and neighbor. We grew up together and went to school (South Fayette Class of 1968) and college (University of Pittsburgh 1972) together. My sincere condolences and prayers for wife Debbie and her family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was truly such a very, very nice man. I always loved our banter when we worked the food bank together. Plus I often ran into him and his wife on my Tuesday volunteer shift at St. Clair Hospital when he was visiting and ministering to friends and patients and occasionally for Sunday bunch at the J&S Diner.
My sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
May his memory be a blessing.

Fred was, and still is, a man of God. He was uncomfortable with my joke that we were both bears. I was the grizzly bear and he was the teddy bear. He mumbled once that he had his grizzly moments, but those were never seen when we were together. His passing has left a hole in my life and Kitty's, even though she is temporarily in Tennessee. I have wanted to pick up the phone to just talk to someone, but then I realize that if I did not call Kitty, I would call Fred. He was a great Sunday school teacher and a good friend.

Fred was such a cheerful, kind and compassionate person. We will definitely miss the lively Bible studies he led and it was obvious he knew scripture. He truly led his life as a Christian and loved his family and friends. We know he is with Christ now.
God Bless Fred and his family

Deb and family,
We can honestly say that we have never met a kinder, gentler, more loving person than Fred. He had a love for Christ and his fellow man that was truly extraordinary. Bethany will miss his leadership and guidance. His example to all of us in living an exemplary Christ-centered life will live on.

Fred was, without a doubt, one of the kindest, friendliest, most faithful, big-hearted, humble, genuinely Christian individuals we have ever had the extreme pleasure of meeting and calling our friend.
He was such a fun person to be with and we loved spending time with him and Debbie.
And, last but certainly not least, he was the greatest, most knowledgeable Sunday school teacher we've ever had. His ability to quote scripture was amazing. Our class will never be the same.
We can't even begin to imagine how much we are going to miss him. He was a true blessing to our Bethany Presbyterian church and to every single person he ever met. Rest in peace our beloved Brother in Christ. Heaven is a brighter place now that you are there. We will meet again.
