Obituary of Philip J. Lewis

Age 93, formerly of Brookline and Mt. Lebanon, on December 30, 2018.  Beloved husband of Gloria (Thomas) Lewis for 67 years; loving father of John (Debbie) Lewis, Barbara Lewis, Janie (Tom) Root, Joni (Jimmie) Sacco and Eddie (Joanie) Lewis; brother of Joe (Maryann) Lewis and Helen (the late Frank) Fabio and the late Ed, Richard, John and Alice Lewis; cherished grandfather of Dana Vidale, Jamie Flisek, Jon Michael Lewis, Haley Lewis, Cole Lewis, Philip Root and Gianna Sacco and great grandfather of Nico and Trevi Vidale and Evan Flisek; also many nieces and nephews.  Philip was a Veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Marine Corp and worked as a manager for Highland Country Club.  Family and friends received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333).  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at NOON at St. Louise De Marillac Church, Upper St. Clair.  EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.  Interment to follow with military honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
