Obituary of Jeannette M. Lapia

LAPIA Jeannette M. "Red" Age 88, of Canonsburg, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2012 at 11:15 pm. Daughter of the late Ricardo and Molly (Dinunzio) Riccardi. Beloved wife of the late Pat Lapia. Loving mother, protector, and best friend of her only child Donna Lapia. Beloved companion of 40 years to Lanny Pilardi. Sister of the late Cecelia Roberto, and the late Dominic, Bernie, and Bruno "Spot" Riccardi. Jeannette was the former proprietor of EndZone Tavern in Pittsburgh for 25 years. She was a caring person to everyone. If you didn"t have a place to eat for the holiday she would make sure you ate. A great friend to all police officers, sheriffs, and jail guards in the Pittsburgh area. Her home was open to everyone, including neighborhood children and the homeless. Friends received Thursday, 7-9 pm and Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday 10 am in Ephiphany Catholic Church, 184 Washington Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
