Obituary of Frank Krieger
Age 88, of Bridgeville, peacefully on May 6, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Doris “Dorie†(Boyer) Krieger, loving father of Trudy (Woody) Jarvis, Debbie Krieger and Frank Krieger III, grandfather of Lindsay (Rick) Wessell and Keith Jarvis, brother of the late Sarah “Chub†(late John) Oliver, the late Marion (late Bob) Rionda and the late Norman(Beverly Fife) Krieger, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frank lived to sing and enjoyed entertaining and blessing people with his voice. A lifetime member of Bridgeville United Methodist Church and a veteran of WW II, serving as a gunner on the U.S.S. Ancon in the U.S. Navy, in the Pacific and European Theatres. Frank was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He and his wife Dorie were instrumental in founding the Chartiers Valley Band Boosters organization. Friends received Thursday, 7-9 PM and Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 AM, in the Bridgeville United Methodist Church (Everyone please meet at church). If desired memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Bridgeville United Methodist Church.
