So sorry for your loss. I dated the "Goose" at IUP and he was a wonderful man. He would come dressed in his finest "red satin" suit and I would laugh. So sad he passed so young. Carla Rodavich Paull.IUP 1973

Memory Eternal!
If memory doesn't fail me, Goose broadcast for WDAD, just off the IUP campus when I went there 1968-72. His was a life, well lived. I'm better for having crossed his path.

I was suddenly deeply sadden to hear of passing of Marvin "Goose" Goslin. But what memories I have of this avid sports fan. I first met him at Norwin High School and we graduated together in 1967 then both attended IUP. During my junior year we were roommates at IUP and I also had the privilege of broadcasting IUP basketball games with "Goose" on IUP college station. "Goose's" love of sports was infectious and supplied a fever to your existence. My most personal treasure "Goose" gave to me was his desire to excel and give 200%. He wasn't the most talented athlete, but as I have told numerous friends no one put forth the effort that "Goose" did, no one. For example while at IUP he played Spring football at IUP all of 140 lbs and wrote a column about his experiences playing spring football at IUP, it was a memorable column. This was the start of his great career. My sympathy and condolences goes out to all his family members and close friends. "Goose" we will miss your passion and inspiration for sports and life.

Our deepest sympathy and sorrow at the passing of our cousin Goose. To my brothers and I he will always be "Sarge", the one who led us in our children's games of "army".
Rest in peace in God's arms.

I was saddened to hear this news today through a fellow classmate on Facebook. I have many wonderful memories of Marvin as he, David Watson, and I spent time together at a variety of choral opportunities during our junior and senior years. I moved from the area after graduating Duquesne U. Haven't kept in touch with many but have fond memories. Marvin is one. Deepest sympathies to the family. Jane

My deepest sympathy to the Goslin family on Goose's passing. During my career, I have met and spent time with many household-name broadcasters. I can say Goose's passion, dedication and enjoyment of his craft was second-to-none, as well as his willingness to help his fellow man.
