Obituary of Christine C. Montecalvo

MONTECALVO, CHRISTINE (Chris), 85, of Cranston Rhode Island, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Forbes Hospice in Pittsburgh, PA. She is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Joseph and her five children, Dr. Joseph Montecalvo Jr., Deborah Couture, Joan Migliori, Mary Ellen Ferri, and David Montecalvo. She is also survived by daughters-in-law Laura (Joseph), Nicole (David) and son-in-law Richard (Joan). She was the proud grandmother of ten: Joseph III, Jennifer, John, Christopher, Kristen, Lauren, Brian, Justin, Kali, David Jr. and also the great-grandmother of four. Christine was born in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary DeSimone and sister of the late, Patrick DeSimone, Joseph DeSimone, Ann Grande, Ella Brown and Mary D"Ambrosio. Christine graduated with honors from Mount Pleasant High School in 1946. She was a devoted parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday from 1-4 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at Holy Child Parish, 212 Station Street, Bridgeville, PA. Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA .
