Obituary of Frances T. Gruden

Age 93, of Bridgeville, passed away on September 21, 2013. Beloved wife of the late William R. Gruden; cherished mother of Jean Yocius (Larry) and the late William R. Gruden, Jr. and David J. Gruden; loving daughter of the late Marie (Noark) and Frank Turnek and sister of Joan Duhamel, Jean Eubanks, the late Veronica Black and the late Ralph Turnek. Frances served proudly in the United States Army during WWII as 2nd Lieutenant. She went on to teach chemistry and earth science for the Pittsburgh Public School system. Frances was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved animals. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Child Parish. Interment to follow at St. Agatha Cemetery.
