I first met Jane as a friend of her son Jeff in 1981. We didn't share a lot with each other but I watched her be a mom that I wished I had had. I watched her love her family through their many seasons of life and try to help and understand them as best she could. I remember seeing her wash clothes on Monday because that was her wash day.
There have been times when I have tried to make some sense of life in all it's chaotic madness and I would remember Monday wash day. I had to begin with the life I have around me and make it make sense and have order and just live life. That is one of many things Jane taught me just by living her life of love and serving her family. I know she will be greatly missed. Peace and Selah.

I am sorry to hear of my Aunt Janie's death. I have great memories of me and my Mom (Aunt Janie's sister, Mary Ann), Dad, brothers and sister going to visit our Aunt Janie and Uncle Earl in their brand new house with more than one level. There was a green upright piano on the lower level that I loved to play and share music with cousins Jeff and Earl. Mary Ann was little, running around and very cute. I will always have these memories. God Bless you all.

My sweet mom, Barbara Jane, how she will be missed. Yet even more I'm so happy for her that she is no longer suffering. I truly believe she is with the Lord Jesus now, reunited with my dad and many others. She was paralyzed on her left side at 60 from a massive stroke, and has struggled with life in a most difficult but victorious way these past 25 years since. She has shown me what determination really means. Her first 10 years with that struggle were spent being a snowbird with my dad, wintering in Ft. Myers every year. She was always a gracious woman who loved her husband and children dearly, devoting her life to us. She was an amazing homemaker, loved to cook and sew, and together with my dad she knew how to tear up the dance floor. Life threw her a curve ball, but she learned how to throw it right back and survived graciously until this past year where her decline became steeper and steeper. A serious lover of chocolate - thanks Mom haha You are my darling forever sweet Lady!
