Obituary of Anna M. Wernert

Wernert Anna M. (Portman) Age 82, of South Fayette Twp., peacefully passed away on January 11, 2013. Beloved wife for fifty-eight years of the late Norman J. Wernert. Cherished mother of Elizabeth, Joseph, John and the late Kenneth Wernert. Anna was one of eleven children of the late Joseph and Anna Portman. Survived by her grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also survived by two brothers, Andrew Portman of Westfield, NY and William Portman of Sea Island, GA and dear friend of Linda Jenkins. Anna cofounded Portman"s Lawn and Garden Center with her husband. Anna will be remembered for her great spirit; her deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and her graciousness to all she encountered. Our self- proclaimed "Queen of Scrabble" will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 AM, in Holy Child Parish (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
