My heart broke this morning when I heard of Lou's passing. I met Lou in February of 2011 at Broadmore. My mom came there to live and Lou was one of the first friends I came to visit then. He was so positive about everything he was living though and I made sure we talked often. I too was a elementary teacher for catholic schools and member of St. Agatha Church. I think your uncle was one of kindest and most honorable gentlemen I have ever met. The last time I saw Lou (Christmas week) I knew he was not doing well. We held hands and he had tears in his eyes. We talked, prayed, and celebrated the friendship we had with one another. I know I was one of many, many people that really liked Lou and really will miss his spirit, but will also be grateful that we met and shared time. My mother and I celebrate your uncle''s life and will add him and you to our prayer list.
God bless.
