Obituary of Scorisa Marie Caiuzzi

Age 96, of Scott Twp., passed peacefully on August 1, 2012. Sue has been reunited with her husband of 60 years, Dante She was the best mother to John "Jack" (Georganne ) Wagner and Suzanne (Don) Dietz) Sweetheart to her beloved grandchildren, Georganne (John) Henson, Jaclyn (Steve) Erickson, Michelle (Matthew) Silvis and Bethany (Richard) West Great-grandmother to Ashley, McKenna, Benjamin, Cole, Parker and Jessica She leaves her sister Regina Columbus and brother Seraphine Columbus Preceded in death by her sisters Mary Fereday and Nora Romano, and her brothers Christopher, Lawrence, Victor, and Eugene Columbus. She leaves many loving nieces and nephews Sue was the Pittsburgh version of Rosie the Riveter, as she served her country as a welder on the Landing Ship Tanks (LST) that were produced on Neville Island, that were considered a vital piece to the Naval mission during wartime. Once the war ended, she traded her welding gun for a needle and thread and became a seamstress for many in the early retail stores in downtown Pittsburgh, including Gimbels. Sue also spent many years serving students at Henry Robert School on Vanadium Road. Sue became to be known as "Suzie Spotless" through her passion to keep a clean house. She created a special mixture known as "Miracle Cleaner" that was sure to clean up any household mess. Her humility, kindness and love for her family and friends will always be remembered. Friends received Thursday, 6-9 PM and Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 10 AM, in Our Lady of Grace Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Pink Pamper, P.O. Box 12729, Pitts., PA 15241. A charity that goes to UPMC Cancer Patient Assistance Fund & Ladies Hospital Aid Society Orchid Fund.
