Obituary of Harry R. Sundy

Sundy Harry R. Age 80, of Scott Twp., went home as a loyal servant to his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on May 19, 2012. Cherished husband for 60 years of Melva "Mel" (Brown) Sundy, devoted father of Debbie (Lance) Mueller and Tammy (Richard) Snyder, loving grandfather of Jaime (Steven) Rearley and Melanie Casey, great-grandfather of Casey, Katie and Caroline Rearley, who were the pride & joys of his life, brother of Rosemary Norcia, also many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sundy was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and a retired employee of Columbia Teledyne. Harry was deeply involved and served as a Deacon at Faith Community of Bethel Park Church. Most recently he was a member of First Christian Church in Yuma, AZ since 1995. Harry spent his winters in Yuma, AZ triumphing as a shuffle board champion. He enjoyed swimming, bike riding and a long list of other activities enjoyed with his community of friends. During his summers in Pittsburgh, Harry enjoyed tending to his garden, tinkering in the yard & spending time with his large extended family. Friends received Tuesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12 Noon.
